AD Project Management Role for global investment firm

Our client is a reputable and global investment firm with worldwide presence. It is now looking to hire a seasoned project director to perform the following functions. 
  • Strategically oversees and manages IT projects from an executive level: facilitating definition of project scope, goals and deliverables, developing full scale project plans, representing users' interests, carrying out risk assessment, monitoring all vendors to ensure guidelines are maintained and overseeing costing
  • Drives IT Projects to be on schedule and within budget. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using,
  • Provides oversight/bridging role to cross functional aspects aligning all domains (business, applications, risk management, infrastructure, operational, financial and legal / compliance) to ensure project meets business objectives.
  • Align with Application & Infrastructure Services implementation and deployment plans to achieve common / shared solution.
  • Perform the Business / Workflow Analyst Role andwork closely with business to identify/ analyse core business processes and workflows
  • Analyzes an organization and documents its business, processes and systems; and assess the business model or its integration with technology.
  • Bridge business problems and technology solutions.
  • Document processes and workflows with clear and detailed process maps and business requirements in standard format such as BPMN.
  • Analyze the feasibility of and develop requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
  • Perform all 4 tiers of business analysis mainly strategic planning (business needs), business model analysis (policies and market approaches), process analysis (standardizing workflow) and system analysis (interpreting business rules and requirements for technical systems)

 

 Skills and Knowledge

 

  • A deg qualified professional with 8 to 15 years of relevant project experience.
  • Some Financial Service/ banking industry exposure is mandatory
  • Deep knowledge of business domain and business processes / operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyse business processes and workflows
  • Strong skills in process mapping and business process reengineering
  • Deep understanding of Enterprise Architecture, End-to-end workflow, data-access framework, reference technology stack, institutional data model and the various core application platforms.
  • Able to drive a team of people at the project level.
  • Experience developing instructional and procedural documentation and presentations.
  • High level of competence with MS Office, MS Visio and MS Dynamics CRM.
  • Able to conduct workshops and focus groups.
  • Experience in being on the IT side and Business side of IT projects.
  • Experience to include workflow, billing, mediation, provisioning and customer relationship management.
  • Good documentation and writing skills.
  • Good project management skills and vendor management skills.
