The key duties of this Senior Accountant/ Assistant Accounting Manager/Accounting Mgr include but are not limited to:

 

• Assist the management to ensure timely and accurate preparation of management, financial and statutory reports for the listed entity of the group;
• Assist to keep full sets of accounts, conduct monthly closing of accounts (e.g. analytical review of monthly fluctuations), prepare quarterly announcement and annual report within stipulated deadlines
• Perform group reporting and consolidation work at HQ level (in Singapore) for 20+ entities within the group
• Coordinate cross-functional project team including finance, distribution and operations in the evaluation of investments and M&A opportunities;
• Proactive in providing suggestions and support to improve financial control related activities;   

 

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance and Accounting or related disciplines. Qualified Accountant with professional membership
• More than 4 years' solid accounting experience, some of which is gained in the commodity trading sector.
• Strong in both financial reporting and financial analysis. Also has some exposure covering consolidation (at regional/ HQ level) and tax gained as an accounting person
• Possess strong knowledge of IAS and financial accounting standards
• Hands-on
• Strong sense of responsibility, attention to details and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Able to speak and read Chinese well (as this role will interact closely with its China counterparties/HQ)
