Risk Management, Asst Manager role with large listed conglomerate (based in West)

Our client is a global player with an international presence. It is recruiting for an experienced Asst Mgr for its risk management/ ERM team.

Description:

  • Implements and delivers risk management policies & programs in collaboration with senior risk team members
  • Conducts research and prepares reports on risk management market practices and trends
  • Participates in risk projects and task forces providing inputs on risk monitoring and reporting where necessary
  • Manages the implementation and execution of risk identification programmes and policies in collaboration with senior risk team members
  • Responsible for the consolidation, analysis and evaluation of risks in in accordance to procedures and policies
  • Drafts and updates policies and processes for managing, monitoring and reporting of risks
  • Collaborates with financial, operational and strategic risk leads to achieve accurate, complete and timely risk disclosures
  • Provides operational support in the assessment, grading and monitoring of the credit worthiness of company stakeholders (existing and potential customers, contractors, vendors, etc.)
  • Coordinates training workshops to build risk management awareness and ownership culture across the company

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 4 years of Risk Management experience in credit or financial risk
  • Experienced in risk management programs in a corporate or consulting environment
  • Strong data analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management
  • Familiar with risk management and process improvement tools and techniques
  • Sifts through a wide range of internal and external information, spotting patterns or trends that create new solutions, and thinks laterally to identify new solutions for old problems
  • Takes full accountability for difficult decisions and implements necessary measures to achieve targets
  • Demonstrates awareness of one’s own strengths and areas for development and works to address them
  • Open to working in Western part of Singapore (there will be transport pick ups available at Boon Lay MRT Station.)
  • Open to following official work hours: Mon to Thurs (7.30 am to 5.15 pm), Fri (730 am to 415 pm)
