Our client is an international commodity MNC which is stable and growing. It is based in town.

 

For this ETRM mgr role, you will report to the Project Head. Your  primary responsibility is to manage effective application and operation of ETRM (Energy Trading & Risk Management, Openlink Endur) and deploy additional functions and enhancements  as the solution for the commodity business through the application of IT technology, services, and methodologies.

 

You are the  management focal point between the co and its partners including business users, strategic business partners including am affiliate company, HQ IT, and ETRM implementation and support vendors.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Manage the firm’s ETRM Application. The candidate will contribute as an in-house ETRM manager, and a project coordinator during application and additional implementation phase (including additional functions and enhancement ).
  • The Hardware and Software infrastructure such as Server CPU, RAM, Storage, Windows, Virus, VPN will be procured and maintained by the IT department. You will manage the ETRM software( Openlink and possibly other software) and the conduct necessary communication and coordination with vendors and/or IT for Database and servers.  
  • Create, maintain, and represent the firm’s comprehensive ETRM plan to manage scope, milestones, and delivery of application support, additional functionality development and enhancement of ETRM program. Implement best practices, techniques, and tools for management and planning liaising with ETRM team in affiliate, US based internal support center of excellence in this domain (including frequent business trip/several weeks stay) and any Singapore or offshore (such as India) based vendor and implementation partner support teams.
  • Foster a positive team environment, in liaising with HQ and affiliate co  in driving standards, consistency, and continuous improvement across the firm’s functions. Must have the ability to translate project management theory into simple, practical processes for application, implementation and support. 
  • Effective working and delivery of application, maintenance, support and additional implementation across the firm
  • Understand / manage all integration between ETRM and other applications.
  • As a member of the Global IT organization, implement ETRM solution to accommodate the changing business demands and IT landscape for the LNG value chain. .
  • Liaise with HQ, affiliate co and existing offshore team in India, through the effective management of delivery risk and challenges.
  • Liaise and collaborate with existing IT team in Singapore  for robust IT environment and operation.   
  • Comply with the Group’s IT standard policies, protocols in management of such implementation and application.
  • Rationalize and drive efficiencies by implementing efficient solutions by integrating and/or interfacing the firm’s systems together (Openlink Endur) and employ best practices and technologies. 
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex user issues and ensure all contractors/subcontractors and other stakeholders deliver progress and developments.
  • Educate the business and corporate managements and/or staffs on available and best suited solutions for their needs and manage expectations.
  • Provide flexibility for the expansion of marketing and trading divisions, acquisition of new businesses, companies and assets. 

Assist in the control, report, verification of the firm’s PnL and business risks including market and credit risks. 

  • Support an effective Change Management program across FIRM while liaising with MCGG and existing offshore support vendor.
  • Interface ETRM Internal and External Support Services including ETRM vendor Help Desk structure.

 

Work Experience

 

  • Deg qualified with min 10 years of work experience. Experience in ETRM, especially Openlink Endur, implementation (including development of code) and application experience would be extremely useful and essential.
  • Has 5+ years of Enterprise Level project delivery and implementation experience with 3+ years managing large, complex global programs. Experience with industry best practices for processes and implementations of global, complex large commercial solutions within an Oil and Gas/LNG industry.
  • Exposure to physical trading business is a must.
  • Added exposure to Oil and Gas/LNG industry would be a plus but not a must.
  • Knowledgeable in the configuration and support of ETRM (especially Openlink Endur) or similar Enterprise Level systems (for example OpenLink etc.).
  • Experience in risk management and/or business process of LNG value chain would be an advantage and would add value in evaluation, specifically in physical and financial oil, gas or LNG products.
  • High level of technical literacy including mature, emerging and new technologies.
  • Comfortable working in a MNC, in an atmosphere that is changing, and contributing to that change. 
  • Highly proactive, engaging and accountable for own and teams' decisions with the energy, drive, commitment and “can do” approach to deliver quality results. 
  • Extensive understanding and experiences in successfully implementing application design, development, and testing methodologies and practices.
  • Strong business acumen with significant business interaction experience, including establishing and managing relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Business process reengineering experience, including extensive experience in assurance of the ETRM calculation output (such as calculation model in excel/VBA for verification of cash flow and PnL and for back up) and in managing change.
  • Good understanding of an ETRM software solution (especially Openlink Endur), best practices, and relevant implementation methodologies.
  • Good understandings in the best practices /industry standards for IT support and service management (ex. ITIL, ISO/IEC20000)
  • Strong collaboration and management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic team and fast-paced environment with continuous challenges.
  • Experience in Large Scale System Software Deployment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. 
  • Experience in coordinating multiple projects within a single program
  • Customer and user focused. 
  • Ability to deliver results, meet commitments and agreed deadlines.  Excellent time management and work prioritization skills.
