Our client is a Singapore not-for-profit organisation in the healthcare sector. It is based in town.
For this role, you report to the CFO and head up the Compliance & ERM function for the organisation. You will manage a team of 2 and will be tasked to set up the compliance department almost from scratch. In this role, you will be required to work closely with stakeholders both the public sector and private sector. As the operations are local, there is no travel required.
As the head of compliance, your immediate objective is to set up/establish the compliance and risk management function/department. Your scope will cover all areas of compliance/risk (excluding IT risk) for its local operations. You will participate in the design, development and implementation of risk mgt strategies, policies and programs in identifying, assessing, mitigating, managing and reporting operational, compliance, ERM risks. As part of senior management, you will also a leadership role in this organisation and help to transform the culture of the organisation.
Requirements:
- Deg qualified with min 15 years of risk management/ ERM/ compliance experience
- Added legal background is useful but this is not a must
- Has staff management experience
- Ideally has exposure to both public sector and private sector but this is not a must
- Adaptable, resilient, innovative. Able to thrive in a results oriented and collaborative environment
- Prior start up exp setting up the compliance/ risk management department is useful (but not a must)
- Passionate about supporting the cause of providing healthcare assistance to the public
- Excited with a start-up role. Seasoned but hands-on
- Diplomatic with strong stakeholder and people skills
- Possess excellent transformation and change management skills
