FC role with Pharma MNC (in Petaling Jaya)

Our client is an international and reputable pharma MNC. This role supports its sales and marketing activities for Malaysia. The role is based in PJ Malaysia. You will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation & analysis of monthly financial reporting, preparation of annual budgets, forecasting, business partnering and submission of regional & global reporting tools

 

Reporting

  • Lead in the monthly analysis, financial reporting & variance analysis reporting ensuring timely reporting, adequate explanations and accurate data submissions.
  • Manage Reporting tool submissions ensuring timely & accurate reporting to regional and global stakeholders.
  • Review of monthly sales performance, price volume analysis, sales & margin analysis by channel, A&P spending vs budget, Gross Margin analysis, and Cost-centre reporting and overall financial performance.
  • Ensure accurate reclassifications of PnL line items and expenses categorisation.

 

Business Planning & Forecasting

  • Support in building financial reporting for Country Strategic Plans/Yearly budgeting exercise.
  • Assist the FC in the preparation of Business Plan/ Business Review presentations.
  • Controlling
  • Providing adequate financial analysis to facilitate business to make informed business decisions. Work closely with business in understanding key reasons for variances against prior year, budget and forecast.
  • Ensure correct and accurate classification of all expenditure pertaining to the Business Units and detailed cost-controlling
  • Participate in projects as directed by Financial Controller / CFO

 

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate and support business in key projects and initiatives providing financial assistance in ensuring that financial objectives are met.
  • Price Management
  • Perform regular price analysis (such as average price, price by channel, comparing to previous year and budget/ trend) and ensure proper communication and follow-up action.

 

Internal Control

  • Identify and assess risk exposures in Vaccines business
  • Regular Assist business process owners with the implementation of control enhancement.

 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Commerce, majoring in Accounting or Finance
  • CA, CPA or Member of recognized professional body
  • Total of around 10 to 15 years, with 3 years experiences at the Senior FM/ FC level in a similar role in a MNC
  • Business Finance background
  • Strong commercial interest and business partnering skills.
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills
  • Budget management
  • MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), SAP
  • Presentation and facilitation skills
