Our client is an established and large SGX company. There is an opening for an AVP IR to join its team. Reporting to the Head of the Department, you will perform the following:
Investor Relations Strategy
Lead the implementation of the company’s investor relations strategy. Enhance the firm’s perception in the financial community and align it with business strategy to achieve long term business growth
Involve in finance communication strategy, including identification of key messages for corporate strategy and all media announcements
Provide expert advice to senior management and the board on the investment community’s perception of how the company is managed, including the potential impact of corporate actions (e.g. M&A, share buyback, dividend changes etc).
Investor Relations Execution
Serve as a key liaison between and the global investment community, including banks, analysts, journalists, institutional investors, government agencies, regulatory bodies, individuals and rating agencies
Direct the planning, drafting and editing of all major external finance communication materials including press releases, designs and printing of annual reports and enhancement of the investor relations section of the company’s website
Execute/ Plan investor presentations and storylines, organising conferences, road shows and media visits and conducting meetings with prospective/current investors/analysts including drafting earnings releases and scripts, preparing talking points and Q&A for management to cover financial, business, legal and competitive issues
Lead the organisation of the company’s annual calendar of financial meetings including AGM and EGM, quarterly results announcements and meetings with investors, analysts and media to review the Group’s financial results and to update stakeholders on key business activities
Improve crisis management framework and communication plans (both locally and overseas), which includes exploring the use of emerging communication platforms such as social media
To qualify:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Social Sciences or related discipline
Minimum 8 years of experience working in investor relations for a larger sized SGX listed company
Strong financial literacy, numeric and analytical capability with deep knowledge of financial statements and ability to communicate with research analysts
Knowledge/ experience of stock valuation methodologies
A sound understanding of the financial capital markets; financial services experience desirable
Knowledgeable with good external contacts with the global investment community (i.e. banks, analysts, journalists, institutional investors, government agencies, regulatory bodies, individuals and rating agencies)
