Senior HR Business Partner with a MNC (based in town)

Our client is a renowned MNC which is a market leader in its filed. For this role, you will report to the HR Director. This is a hands-on individual contributor role, and will focus on providing HR business support within SEA and Australia.  This position is fully dedicated to internal clients, their needs and their duties.  The role will support the roll out of HR strategic plans that aligns with business directions and growth, be the HR lead in various HR projects and manage the operational needs for the region.  The role covers the entire spectrum of HR for the assigned functions, and with a focus on talent acquisition and talent development activities for the region.  

 

Main activities:

•             Partner with HRD and Line Managers in providing the full spectrum of HR services and ensuring the smooth running of HR Operations

•             Act as the HR lead and partner with business and product line heads to meet their business needs.  Create, develop and administer HR policies and processes, and ensure compliance with local employment law and

              policies. 

•             Ensure that the organization’s HR strategy is implemented effectively, consistently, and according to established guidelines.

•             Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant regulations, laws and employment standards, and best practice in the region.

•             Manage recruitment needs – source suitable candidates, shortlist candidates based on requirements of the job, arrange interviews, recommend competitive salary package and follow up on employment offer and

             admin matters

•             Provide advice/support to line managers on HR issues related to employee welfare, employee grievance, and development and performance management. 

•             Provide input for manpower planning and manage the HR annual budget

•             Work closely with the outsource payroll vendor and act as the key lead and coordinator for payroll matters across SEA locations except Vietnam. 

•             Manage and update the employee database system.

•             Work with the line managers to identify training and development gaps, and source or develop suitable interventions to meet these needs.  

•             Be the expert in performance management cycle process, and conduct refresher training for employees. 

•             Support the effective delivery of higher value added HR service, through the further development of more effective and efficient processes, better employee support and experience and ensuring that the high

              standards within the team are developed and maintained.

•             Continuously find opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of managing HR operations in order to deliver better service and increase value of role to different stakeholders.

 

Desired Qualities/Skills:

 

•             Bachelor Degree (Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required) with at least 5 years’ experience HR business partner experience, some of which is gained in a fast paced MNC environment

•             Strong customer-oriented mind set with desire to add value to business partners, provide seamless experience for employees and deliver high levels of customer service to diverse stakeholders

•             Solid verbal and written communication skills

•             Excellent collaboration skills and able to navigate in a matrix and complex environment

•             Adaptable, able and willing to be both strategic and administrative

•             Demonstrate a high attention to detail and accuracy

•             Organised and able to prioritise multiple initiatives

•             Strong continuous improvement mindset

•             Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and formulas, etc.

•             Working knowledge of payroll systems, regional HR laws preferred
