Our client is an established conglomerate. It is now looking for a technically strong revenue accounting manager cand responsible for revenue accounting and direct cost. You will also be playing an active role in reviewing and improving the internal controls, processes and systems and assisting in revenue recognition project (IFRS15). Key functions:
Revenue and direct costs
- Review and ensure revenue and direct cost are recognised in accordance with accounting standards
- Execute revenue related monthly close activities and reconciliations and ensure proper and timely recording and accounting of revenue and its direct cost
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including the analysis and commentary on major variances
- Ensure audit schedules/reconciliations are properly prepared and timely
- Work with Product, Billing and IS teams on new product launch to ensure systems and processes are properly set up before its launch to ensure accurate revenue accounting. This includes setting of test scenarios, performing user acceptance test and updating of standard operating procedure.
Systems, processes and controls
- Ensure systems and processes supporting revenue accounting and direct cost are properly maintained
- Ensure proper documentation of key revenue accounting policies and processes
- Assist in the implementation of IFRS15 and its documentation
- Assist internal and external audit matters during audit periods
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accountancy or equivalent with 5 to 10 years experience in audit and accounting
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS accounting and its application
- Strong exposure to revenue accounting is highly preferred
- High proficiency in SAP ERP, MS Excel, MS Words and flow charting
- Self motivated, resourceful, meticulous
- A good team player with strong interpersonal skills with the confidence and maturity to effectively work with different levels in the organization
- Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Able to commit to a 1 year contract
