Our client is a renowned and international investment firm. It is now looking for a seasoned corporate finance professional with relevant experience in Corporate Planning & Budgeting gained within a private equity or other investment firm or internal corporate finance unit of MNC. Key functions:

 

1) Investment Planning

• Able to lead Corporate Planning & Budgeting of a large and varied investment portfolio (Investments, divestments, capital allocation plan) and prepare detailed presentations to Senior Management
• Lead or supervise project team interfacing with Business Units and Senior Management
• Lead or supervise strategic thinking to provide support to Directors in crafting messages for Senior Management

 

2) Portfolio Review

• Strong analytical skills, ability to draw conclusions/analyze trends from large amount of portfolio data for quarterly reporting to senior management
• Good excel skills able to work with large amount of investment data and provide analysis

 

3) Portfolio Analytics

• Managing framework to analyze past investment/divestment decisions
• Able to draw inferences on investment trends, portfolio performance and communicate succinctly to senior management
• Experience in Investment analysis and portfolio analysis

 

4) Liquidity & Debt Planning

• Manage liquidity and cash flow planning for CFO, liaising closely with Investments office
• Able to engage senior management and support strategic thinking around liquidity management (such as pace of investments, divestments, debt planning etc.)

 

Requirements:

 

• 7-10 years of Corporate Planning & Budgeting or equivalent experience preferably gained within planning unit of private equity or other investment firm or internal corporate finance unit of MNC
• Able to lead institutional projects– such as company’s annual investment planning, portfolio analytics, liquidity & debt review
• Strong grasp of numbers so as to be able to maintain macro view of investment portfolio and key impacting cashflows whilst identifying micro drivers of key counters.
• Experience with implementation and operation of IT systems that administer a large investment portfolio
• Able to work under pressure and tight timelines
• Able to lead multiple teams with multi-disciplinary skills with limited guidance
• Good communication skills to interact with senior management and peers
• Takes initiative and is results focused and a go getter
• Institutional mindset
