Senior Associate, Payroll (HR Shared service payroll) with a FI

  • Strong on Singapore payroll with some regional payroll experience.

Our client is a stable and renowned FI. For this role, we are looking for a hands-on payroll Senior Associate professional to join in a HR shared service team covering regional/ international payroll functions. This is a perm role.

 

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the payroll team that is responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing of 600+ employees in Singapore and International offices
  • Work with in-country vendors to ensure monthly payrolls are accurately completed per payroll schedules for employees
  • Verify payroll information for appropriate approvals and accuracy for payment
  • Ensure compliance to local tax laws and country specific Labor laws
  • Work with team members on the reconciliation of the general ledger for all payroll-related entries
  • Coordinate and prepare documentation and reconciliations for internal and external auditors
  • Work closely with Finance and Corporate Tax to ensure compliance with accounting policy and corporate tax
  • Provide customer service and respond in a timely manner to employees on payroll related issues and inquiries
  • Assist on special projects and assignments as necessary.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Min. Diploma in Finance, Accounting or HR equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years and above of experience.
  • Strong on Singapore payroll matters with some regional payroll experience.
  • Exposure to China payroll will be preferred (but not a must)
  • Experience working in shared service payroll team is a plus (but not a must)
  • Exposed to a MNC or structured conglomerate set up
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and knowledge of payroll policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, accurately and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to handle sensitive personnel issues and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet, keen eye for details.
