Business Analyst (BD & Commercial Department) with renowned MNC

  • Bachelor’s  degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Management, or equivalent is required
  • Relevant petrochemical or oil and gas industry is useful but not a must.
  • Ability to conduct research and data collection / compilation on customer markets

 

Our client is a clear market leader and MNC in its field. Located near the Jurong East MRT station, it is looking for the following Biz analyst which will be part of the Biz Development and Commercial Department.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop a clear opinion for potential growth opportunities based on product flows and new Business and Supply chain models in Singapore and Asia.
  • Drive and support Commercial Excellence agenda in Asia in close cooperation with Analysts & Global Sales & Marketing.
  • Drive research that conducts market studies, product analysis and competitor reviews to enable the commercial organisation to be fully abreast of market developments and identify business development opportunities.
  • Build robust internal and external network to facilitate effective sharing of market and product information.
  • Develop communication platform for exchange and communication of market knowledge.
  • Lead implementation of Integrated Sales Approach and the Commercial Systems in the Asia.

KPIs:

Market Research

•Rigor, quality and timeliness of market research and update of business analyses.

•Timely knowledge of changes in customer businesses and activities impacting the co’s strategies for the customer.

•Timely information gathering for reports and documents for circulation.

•Strong interface and networking with the co’s commercial teams.

Competitiveness

•Drive competitiveness focus in region, insights in competitors and gaps USPs vs competition, 

•Track implementation identified opportunities Commercial Reviews to drive out value.

•Register and share best practices Commercial & BD field

•Support Operating companies to perform Activity Based Costing exercise

Integrated Sales Approach

•Implementation of the Integrated Sales Approach

•Organize refresher training, sharpen the saw sessions and other engagements to support full implementation of Sales Funnel.

•Track ISA on completion of  targets of Commercial Staff

•Follow up on Quarterly Deals and coordinate Awards 

•Standardised workflow based on global standardised processes.

•Expert user of commercial systems (CRM-Business Insight)

Assists in Decision Making

•Recommendation on competitive position

•Recommend on growth opportunities

•Recommend market studies

•Recommendation on systems needed for business intelligence.


Requirements:

-Bachelor’s  degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Management, or equivalent

-Min 2 to 5 years of exp of relevant business analyst experience covering market research, driving competitiveness for the business, identifying growth opportunities and supporting commercial excellence.

-Relevant petrochemical industry is highly useful but not a must.

-Ability to conduct research and data collection / compilation on customer markets

-Good written and spoken English. 

-High energy, teamwork.

-Good analytical skills.
