Our client is an international MNC who is also a market leader in its field. For this role, it is a 8 mth contract starting 3rd week Dec 2017 to mid Aug 2018. There will be a completion bonus at the end of the assignment. This role will unfortunately not lead to a perm role.
For this role, you will manage a team of 2 covering the following areas:
Cash and collateral management oversight
•Supervise the execution of settlements from financial trading, margining and trade finance activity.
•Oversee financial trade confirmations activity and Trade Support Analyst, ensuring accuracy of inputs into trade matching, settlements and margining processes and responsibility for ensuring processes are in place for the regulatory reporting of required trades.
•Oversee the margin administration for trading position with clearing partners and other counterparties. Ensure accuracy of margin calculation by the banks and ensure prompt payment and refund.
Formulate cash and funding plans for the Marketing businesses based on cash flow forecasts received from Financial Reporting team. Providing quality assurance and check to the forecasts received.
•Monitor /provide support to the Treasury Analyst for daily cash management activities, and monitors performance of Shared Service Centre and transactional banking partners.
Transactional and trade finance and bank management
•Facilitate the KYC process with transactional and trade finance banks when required and aiding in the negotiation of trade finance master agreements
•Negotiate new bank lines and related arrangement of ISDA’s, trade finance, borrowing and margining
•Do Monthly reporting of Treasury activities to Group Treasury and Marketing CFO
•Aid the Marketing Treasurer in managing transactional and trade finance banking relationships
Confirmation and settlement/arrangement of new collateral management
Negotiate and arrange new collateral management requirements with various counterparties, engaging legal support as appropriate and establishing new processes
Treasury Project Management
•Oversee User Acceptance Testing for Aspect implementation for treasury activities
Others
•Monitor exposure of marketing BU to various currencies and the associated fluctuation. Advise on execution of hedging strategies
•Manage the confirmation and settlement and bank account requirements for FX transactions
•Aid the Marketing Treasurer in setting up the transactional banking and trading structure for China entity
To qualify:
•Degree qualified with min 5 to 8 years of hands-on treasury experience , some of which are gained with MNCs.
•Strong on cash management, managing bank relations, collateral management, trade finance and exposure to FX treasury system projects.
• Exposure to a financial trading environment gained in banks, mining/ commodities firm is preferred (but not a must)
• Experience in the arrangement or operation of borrowing facilities
•ISDA experience desirable but not a must
•Demonstrated ability to interface successfully at multiple organisation levels
•Good track record of interfacing with and influencing senior executives
•Results oriented, capable of holding self and others to account on delivery
•Ability to understand perspective of multiple stakeholders, and successfully influence / challenge the opinions of colleagues and senior managers
•Able to commit to a 8 mth contract starting around 3rd week of Dec
