The role

The successful appointee will be responsible for stakeholder engagement of the firm’s philanthropic platform, and ensuring that the platform remains robust and relevant in delivery of programmes aligned with mandates. 

 

You will be responsible for developing strategies, conceptualising and implementing new initiatives aligned with the firm’s community investment mandate, and play the enabler role to create a positive impact on the communities.  

 

You will assist to measure community impact, and leverage quantitative and qualitative information as content to engage the wider public and increase awareness of the firm’s commitment towards the well-being of our community.

 

In your capacity as project lead, you will plan for and oversee the successful and timely completion of the deliverables, coordinate the work with other members of the team as well as oversee the work of external partners who are supporting the successful delivery of the initiatives.

   

Role & Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, prioritise and engage with stakeholders in the philanthropic space beyond Singapore covering the region.
  • Identify opportunities and common interests to work with these stakeholders to shape agendas to create positive impact 
  • Manage, nurture and promote vibrant engagement with the stakeholder communities, including some foundations and trusts.
  • Conceptualise, develop and implement new initiatives to meet the needs of different target communities
  • Work closely with strategic partners and vendors to ensure smooth and successful running of community events/activities
  • Manager and pursue corporate sponsorship/donation opportunities that reinforce the firm’s community investment mandate
  • Degree qualification with around 8 to 15 years of relevant working experience in CSR/ sustainability, within one or more of the following: the philanthropic sector, Ministries/ government agencies covering social sector development, international NGOs
  • Proven record of experience and knowledge working in the philanthropy sector, and working with a range of partners: government, international philanthropies/ NGOs, multi-lateral

 

Requirements and key attributes

institutions, think-tanks/ universities, social organisations and the corporate sector

  • Experience in policy/strategic paper writing would be advantageous 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-faceted and complex projects, with strong execution capability
  • Strong project management, organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Resourcefulness and ability to work and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment, able to process changes in direction quickly while maintaining a high quality of output
  • Ability to understand the broader strategic context and to exercise judgement in carrying out the day-to-day responsibilities
  • Excellent communicator with good written and oral presentation skills, able to generate buy-in and results
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply new skills on the fly
  • Excellent team player with the confidence to guide and supervise junior officers
  • Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin/Bahasa Indonesia (for respective markets coverage) would be an advantage due to the regional coverage of this role
